I grew up Charlottesville and I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. In 2006 I founded my greeting card company Lola & Bella Designs and I started illustrating and printing my own greeting card. I enjoy working with acrylic gouache, pen and ink, digital illustration, and textiles.
I am deeply inspired by the natural world and by vibrant colors. I believe in the amazing healing abilities of color and nature, and the combination is always the focus in the art I create.
I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University, School of the Arts in Richmond Virginia. I majored in Fine Art Illustration, part of the Communication Arts and Design Department. While attending VCU I also had the amazing opportunity to study painting and drawing at the Lorenzo De Medici Art Institute of Florence, in Florence Italy.
You can find me and my artwork set up every Saturday at the IX Art Park Farmers Market from 9-1PM . My greeting cards are currently available for sale in at Integral Yoga Natural Foods, Blue Ridge Boutique at Wintergreen, Capital One Cafe in Richmond, Virginia, Batesville Market in Batesville Virginia.
